David was born in St Ives and attended Humphry Davy Grammar School in Penzance . He cares for and values his local environment. An ex- member of the National Trust and local Green Gym / BTCV, he was employed at Duchy College, Rosewarne (the main centre for horticultural studies in West Cornwall ) until branching out by himself. Even though he has travelled the globe extensively, he always missed and loved returning to West Cornwall
He has studied the RHS horticulture course
After several years within the hospitality industry (including a long period aboard the cruise liner QE2), David has made a career change, his son assists him in his activities during university recess.
